  • Dates that fall on a weekend are shown on the next business day where the ATO or state revenue office allows that. Public holidays can push a date back further; they are not adjusted here.
  • Also every payday: super guarantee (12%) must reach the employee’s fund within 7 business days, and pay must be reported through Single Touch Payroll. Payroll tax monthly returns are due on dates set by each state.

How this works

The calendar runs from 1 July 2026 to 31 July 2027, so it includes the July 2027 dates that close off the 2026–27 year. Every date comes from the ATO, the Fair Work Commission, the OAIC or a state revenue office, and the source is shown under each date.

Choose how you lodge BAS and FBT, and tick each state where you pay payroll tax. Dates on a weekend move to the next business day where the source allows it. Public holidays are not adjusted, so check any date that falls on one.

The download includes every date for your settings, including ones already past, as all-day events.

28 October 2026 (July–September), 28 February 2027 (October–December), 28 April 2027 (January–March) and 28 July 2027 (April–June). 28 February 2027 is a Sunday, so that one moves to Monday 1 March. Lodging online may give 2 more weeks, except for the February date.

When is STP finalisation due?

14 July 2027 for the 2026–27 year. Employers with 19 or fewer payees can finalise closely held payees by 30 September.

When are payroll tax annual returns due?

21 July in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, and 28 July in New South Wales, South Australia and the ACT. The return covers the financial year just ended.

What changed for super from 1 July 2026?

Payday Super. For earnings paid from 1 July 2026, super guarantee must reach the employee’s fund within 7 business days of payday instead of by a quarterly deadline. The rate is 12%. The last quarterly payment, for April–June 2026, was due 28 July 2026.

When are FBT returns due?

The FBT year ends on 31 March. If you lodge yourself, the return and payment are due 21 May 2027. If a tax agent lodges electronically, it is generally 25 June 2027, provided you are on the agent’s FBT client list by 21 May.
