Terms
Terms of service
The agreement between Workfloor and the organisations that use it, in plain English. Please read the section on legal advice in particular.

About these terms
These terms apply to your use of Workfloor (“we”, “us”), including the website at workfloor.com.au and the Workfloor app (together, the “service”). “You” means the organisation that signs up, and the people it allows to use its account.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of your organisation, and you confirm you are authorised to do so. If you have a separate written agreement with us, that agreement applies where it differs from these terms.
Workfloor is a business service. It is intended for organisations and the people who manage employment on their behalf.
Not legal advice
Workfloor gives general information about Australian workplace law. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional about your circumstances.
- Answers are prepared with the help of AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they cite a source. Check the source before you act.
- Answers reflect the source data as at the date shown. Award rates, legislation and their interpretation change.
- Enterprise agreements, contracts, state laws and individual circumstances can change the answer. Workfloor may not know about them unless you tell it.
- You remain responsible for your decisions about employees, including pay, rostering, discipline and termination, and for complying with the law.
- Using Workfloor does not create a lawyer–client relationship with anyone.
For decisions with legal consequences, particularly anything time-limited such as a dismissal, get advice from a lawyer or another qualified adviser.
The service
Workfloor answers workplace questions, checks pay and award rates, and lets you save and export answers, using the sources described on our Sources and attribution page. The features available depend on your plan. We may improve, change or remove features over time; if a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.
We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance, ideally with notice.
Accounts and security
- Each person needs their own account and licence. Don’t share sign-in details.
- Multi-factor authentication is required on every account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your organisation’s accounts, and for removing access when someone leaves.
- Tell us promptly at hello@workfloor.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, misleading, or to harm or discriminate against anyone
- upload material you have no right to share, or personal information you have no right to disclose
- try to access other customers’ data, probe or break our security, or interfere with the service
- scrape, copy or resell the service or its data in bulk, or use it to build a competing product
- use automated means to access the service, except through features or interfaces we provide for that purpose
- present Workfloor’s answers as legal advice, or as advice from us, to anyone else.
Please avoid entering employee names or other personal details unless the task needs them.
Your content
You own the questions, documents and other material you put into Workfloor (“your content”). You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy policy. We don’t use your content to train AI models, and we don’t sell it.
You can export your saved answers while your account is active. When your account ends, we return or delete your content as described in our Privacy policy.
Our sources and intellectual property
We own the service, its software and design, and our own analysis and calculations. Some content comes from public sources under their own licences, such as the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence; our Sources and attribution page lists them and the attribution each publisher asks for. Those publishers do not endorse Workfloor.
You may use answers and exports within your organisation, and share them with your advisers. Keep the source citations with them.
Fees and billing
- Fees are set out on our Pricing page or in your order. They are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
- Plans are billed monthly in advance. Extra licences are billed for each month they are active.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know and may suspend access until it is paid.
- We may change our prices with at least 30 days’ notice. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice ends.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We don’t refund part-months, except where the law requires it.
Suspension and ending these terms
We may suspend or close an account if fees are unpaid, if these terms are seriously breached, or if we need to protect the service, other customers or the law. Where it is reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first. If we stop offering the service, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a chance to export your content.
Warranties and consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, and we don’t make any other promise about it, including that answers are complete, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the service or these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill
- we are not liable for loss arising from decisions you make based on an answer, including any underpayment, overpayment or claim by an employee.
These limits don’t apply to liability that cannot be limited by law. You are responsible for loss we suffer because of your breach of the acceptable use section, or a third-party claim about content you upload.
Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy policy. Where we process personal information on your behalf, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to give it to us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and give you at least 30 days’ notice of any material change. If you don’t agree to a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
